Come as you are, whether you're coming straight from a bike ride or walk, just finished a refreshing wharf jump, or dressed to the nines for a special occasion. We're thrilled to welcome you anytime! We do just ask that your clothing choices are respectful to others so no offensive slogans or similar.

We love having little ones at The Jellyfish – they are always happily welcome, though we do ask for parent supervision due to our close proximity to the water. High chairs and baby changing facilities are available.

Our outdoor area is dog friendly and we encourage our well behaved furry friends to join us outside on the deck.

We are happy for you to bring along a birthday cake (cakage fee applies) for a celebration, but please note that is the only outside food we allow as we have a full menu of delicious food and drinks for you to enjoy.

Parking at the wharf is a breeze with plenty of free parking available at the end of Aranui road, and in the kite park on Tahi street. Please note some carparks are sign posted for 120 minutes. If you are in a car club and wish to display on the wharf outside The Jellyfish please note this in your reservation and we can organise this for you.

Mapua Wharf is the perfect spot to spend the day. With picturesque views, vibrant shops, art galleries and plenty of space to relax, it has something for everyone to enjoy. In summer be sure to check high tide times for the local favourite past time: the traditional wharf jump, loved by both locals and visitors.

Located in the beautiful Tasman region, we are a 35 minute drive from Nelson, 25 minutes from the airport, 20 minutes from Richmond and 20 minutes from Motueka.

Getting to Mapua is a breeze! The easiest way is by car. For a scenic adventure, hop on your bike on the Great Taste Trail and take the Mapua Ferry from Rabbit Island. If you prefer public transport, there's a bus running Monday to Friday between Nelson and Motueka, as well as taxi services available. Enjoy the journey!
